This game was not expected to be the battle of the century. USC was suppose to dominate and dominate early. That is not exactly how this story went. These teams are more evenly matched than most realize. Both played relatively easy schedules with similar opponent records. Both lost on the road to 8-4 teams. Both are ranked very close in every offensive and defensive team category. With that said, the key for both teams will be the play in the trenches - whoever dominates the line of scrimmage will win.
