Here’s what’s what: A journey begins which was recently completed. She’s got a bad feeling about a beautiful train. Despite the omen of the centipede, they give up gold mining and depart for the big city.
In 1711, a demon gives the "wine of immortality" to a group of alchemists. When war breaks out between the immortals, the alchemists scatter across the globe in order to avoid extinction and later re-appear in 1930's New York.
