A mystical sage takes Zed under his wing. And Zed discovers he possesses a great spirit with awesome power that many would like to take from him.
Zed and Noah are two teenage boys who start in a world somewhat like our own but wind up in another world where supernatural powers reign, the strange politics of antagonistic nations permeate everything, and people fight using “spirits,” or powerful magical beings who fight on their behalf through the use of “shards” (magic stones). In this other world, shards are used throughout everyday life. Only the strong have spirits, but many have shards, with which they can heal, teleport, etc.
